Scope & Content:

  • This collection contains several photographs taken aboard the USS Frank E. Evans and others of her crew (circa WWII). Also present in the collection is correspondence between various members of the Frank E. Evans Association. Also in the collection is a photocopied War Diary from February 1945 through January 1946 and a photocopy of article, "Fien recognized by national group" from the West Orange Chronicle, undated.

Biographical Note:

  • Jerome Fien was a Naval Officer during World War II and was assigned to the USS Frank E. Evans as an assisstant communications officer.
