Scope & Content:

  • 548 35mm and 16mm slides that document Mervin Wayne Greene's two years of service in Vietnam (1965-1966 and 1968-1969), when he served in Tan Canh as an advisor to the 2nd Battalion, 42nd Infantry Regiment (Vietnam) and later as Commander of Company B, 3rd Battalion, 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division (US) based at Don Tam, as part of Mobile Riverine Force.

Biographical Note:

  • Lieutenant Colonel Mervin Wayne Greene served in Tanh Canh as an advisor to the ARVN 2nd Battalion, 42nd Infantry Regiment from 1965 to 1966 and was commander of Company B, 3rd Battalion, 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division in the U.S. Army with the Mobile Riverine Force from 1968 to 1969.
