  • Newspaper articles concerning the deployment of the USS Richard B. Anderson to Vietnam in 1966; 1964-1965 West Pacific Cruise of the USS Richard B. Anderson, May 1965 issue of All Hands, and a navy shell fragment from Roi-Namur in the northern end of Kwajalein Lagoon documenting Tom Sebens tour of duty on the USS Richard B. Anderson from 1964 to 1965.

Biographical Note:

  • Tom Sebens volunteered for the U.S. Navy in 1959 and was trained as a radio operator. Sebens served a total of six years of active duty, serving aboard the USS Helena, USS Providence, and the USS Richard B. Anderson. While serving on the Anderson, it was on Patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin on Yankee Station from 1964-1965. Following his service in the Navy, Sebens served three years in the Central Intelligence Agency, some of the time in Vietnam.
