Scope & Content:

  • Jungle hat with "Thailand Korat" badge bought by Bob Pruiksma on eBay and October 1996 issue of Air Force Magazine.

Biographical Note:

  • Bob Pruiksma, born 29 December of 1949 in Manhattan, New York, volunteered for the U.S. Air Force in 1968. He spent four years as an aircraft mechanic and held the rank of Airman First Class (E-3). Pruiksma served in the following Units: 553rd Organizational Maintenance Squadron in Korat, Thailand (October 1969-July 1970) and 606th Special Operations Squadron, Nakhon Phanom, Thailand (July 1970-October 1970). Pruiksma was stationed at the following locations: Lackland Air Force Base for basic training; Sheppard Air Force Base for technical school; McClellan Air Force Base; Korat, Thailand; Nakhon Phanom, Thailand; and Travis Air Force base.
