Schloss was assigned to the 6102 AB Wing from the years of 1956-58. He was also assigned to the Taipei American School and the Air America School from 1966-68 and 1968-70 respectively. While in Asia, Schloss held numerous positions including: Serviceman (1956-58), Teacher and Principal (1966-70). He was first stationed at Yokota AB from 1956-58. In 1966 he was transferred to Taipei and remained there until 1968. Finally, in 1968 he was transfered for a third time to Udorn where he remained until 1970. During his service in Southeast Asia Schloss hell the rank of Airman First Class, Vice Principal, Teacher, Principal, SA/BM-Udorn, and staff assistant to base manager. The following is a statement prepared by Jacob Leon Schloss: "My association with Air America was through the school. I and my staff were connnected, but we were only there for bringing normality to bear. We taught the children and were plugged into an organization with a totally different mission.
