Scope & Content:

  • Approximately half a linear foot of letters, slides, articles, Viet Cong currency, Chieu Hoi leaflets, and artwork document Bruce J. Solberg's tour of duty in Vietnam with the United States' Army's 221st Reconnaissance Airplane Company, 1970-1971. The letters were written by Solberg to his parents during his tour of duty and the artwork and English interpretations of the Chieu Hoi leaflets were done by the 221st Airplane Company's Vietnamese interpreter Phan Hu Thoai.
