Approximately a quarter of a linear foot of slides, negatives, photographs, and documents from Lawrence V. Smith's time in Vietnam working for ABC's Far East Bureau in 1965. The slides and photographs show various cities from all over South Vietnam as well as military activities, the ARVN, and news crews working on the Emmy Award winning documentary 'Reflections on Viet Nam' with Frank Reynolds. Included with the documents are images of Smith, copies of his press credentials, resume, and clippings of coverage of the various stories he worked on during his career.

Lawrence V. Smith was an Emmy Award winning director of video and photography for CBS-TV NEWS, ABC-NEWS. He also worked as the director of photography, under contract for the United States Information Agency . Smith was the staff camera for ABC-TV News covering special events in the Far East in 1965. Smith also headed, and/or owned several other film production companies from 1955-1999 including, but not limited to: Lawrence Smith Productions(1965),Jacksonville Motion Picture and Television Council, Black Mamba Productions.
