Scope & Content:

  • Less than one linear foot of photographs, one book and various documents and correspondence detail First Lieutenant Terry Turner's service as an advisor with MACV-CORDS during the Vietnam Conflict, April 1969 - 1970. Photographs and documents date from the war period. The book was written post-war by Turner and documents his story from his perspective.

Biographical Note:

  • First Lieutenant Terry Turner served in Vietnam from April 1969 through 1970 in the Mekong Delta region. He served as an advisor in the MACV-CORDS system and was assigned to Team 84, the province team of Kien Phong Province. He became the team leader of MAT IV-32 and the district senior advisor of Dong Tien district in Kien Phong province.
