Scope & Content:

  • Approximately one and a half linear feet of books, newsletters, teaching materials, student link projects, and articles document Lindy Poling's career in teaching high school classes on the Vietnam Conflict. Included in the materials are copies of student "link projects", where students correspond with invidividuals associated with the war era to get a better perspective for their Vietnam War class. Materials date from the post-war era and are in good condition.

Biographical Note:

  • Mrs. Poling teaches the history of the Vietnam War to her students at Millbrook High School (Raliegh NC) by pairing her students with community leaders who are Vietnam veterans to learn firsthand accounts of their experiences.
