Scope and Content

An email copy of a letter written to Fernando De Pierris by his wife Renata, information from the dedication of the Joseph Guy LaPointe, Jr. Health Clinic, and a CD-ROM of digital images taken during Pierris' 2000 trip to Vietnam document Pierris' service in Vietnam with B Troop, 2/17 Cavalry and his subsequent membership with the B Trrop, 2/17 Cavalry Association.

Biographical Note

Fernando De Pierris is a member of B Troop 2/17th Cavalry Association. The Association was formed in 1998 Reunion. The objective of the B Troop 2nd 17th Cavalry Association is to preserve the memory, history and honor of those who served with B Troop 2nd 17th Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division before, during, and after the Vietnam War. The Association is active in promoting the research, dissemination and preservation of information concerning Association members and assist members in locating others with whom they served. B Troop 2nd / 17th Cavalry Association is exempt from taxation under IRC 501 (c) (19).
