Thesis by Dr. Pike, "The Use of Humor in International Propaganda," 1959; Institute of East Asian Studies, UC Berkeley, Annual Report 1987-1988; Manuscripts by Dr. Pike, Collected readings edited by Dr. Pike, including Indochina Bibliography and History of the Vietnam War. Envelopes commemorating Year of the Rooster (1993) and Year of the Dog (1994). Newspaper clippings, Chinese, Vietnamese, American newspapers. Audio material regarding Vietnam and post-Vietnam. Collection also contains books, video, journals, and artifacts donated by Myrna Pike, wife of the late Douglas Pike. The artifacts include an AK-47 assault rifle, framed Vietnamese stamps, a brick from the "Hanoi Hilton," where many American POWs were imprisoned during the war, and Ban Chiang vases from Thailand that date back to prehistoric times.
