Scope and Content
Approximately six linear feet of books, photographs, slides, museum objects, film, audio, periodicals, microfilm, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, journals, studies, oral history transcripts, and official military materials document a broad range of topics related to Operation Ranch Hand, the Ranch Hand Association and issues related to herbicidal usage during the Vietnam Conflict. Topics include support for and against the use of herbicides, studies conducted on the use of herbicides, lawsuits against its use, Veterans Administration treatment of Vietnam Veterans, their objections with the United States government and chemical and germ warfare. Materials date from 1960 to the present and are primarily organized in the original order that they were received in.
