Description The Vietnam Project, sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America, is a compilation of reference material on Southeast Asia. A significant majority of the collection consists of reprints from newspaper or magazine articles on a variety of subjects. The collection is divided by country for the first four section then by special topic for the remaining four topics: Cambodia Vietnam Laos Thailand Organizations Subject Files The Vietnam Project [Administrative Files] Miscellaneous Within each country series, the collection is divided into major subject headings. The following are representative: General Data Social Politics Environment Foreign Relations Economy Economic Sectors Trade/Investment International Organizations The topics are further divided into more detailed subjects when necessary. There is 11 linear feet of material in the Cambodia Series, 18 linear feet in the Vietnam Series, 3 linear feet in the Laos Series, 3.5 linear feet in the Thailand Series, 6 linear feet in the Organization Series, 9 linear feet in the Subject File Series, 2 linear feet in the Publications Series, and 4 linear feet in the Miscellaneous File Series. The majority of material is from the period 1979-1995 with a significant portion of that from the 1980s. The material is in good condition; English is the primary language in the collection.
