Description:
(USAF) Kenneth S. Kruger, originally from Oakland, California served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 until 1966. He first went to Southeast Asia TDY in 1964 with the 347th Troop Carrier Squadron, 516th Troop Carrier Wing, Tactical Air Command, stationed in Okinawa. From there, Ken flew missions into South Vietnam as Aircraft Loadmaster on a C130E. He went back to SE Asia TDY in 1965, also as Aircraft Loadmaster on the C130E, with the 345th Troop Carrier Squadron, Pacific Air Forces, based at Ching Chong Kong AB, Taiwan, and flew missions in South Vietnam based out of Nha Trang. In total, Ken flew 250 combat cargo delivery missions in South Vietnam. Interview conducted by Richard B. Verrone, Ph.D.
