Correspondence between Howard Hirsch and his family. Howard S. Hirsch was born in Chicago, Illinois on 13 June 1935. He was drafted into the United States Army in September 1967 and served a tour of duty in Vietnam as a doctor with the 12th Evacuation Hospital in Cu Chi from September 1968 to September 1969. Hirsch received a Bronze Star during his tour of duty and was discharged with the rank of Major following its conclusion. Howard provides narration for a box of slides he's sent home. Correspondence between Howard Hirsch and his family. Howard S. Hirsch was born in Chicago, Illinois on 13 June 1935. He was drafted into the United States Army in September 1967 and served a tour of duty in Vietnam as a doctor with the 12th Evacuation Hospital in Cu Chi from September 1968 to September 1969. Hirsch received a Bronze Star during his tour of duty and was discharged with the rank of Major following its conclusion. The two Hirsch boys exhibit their skills on piano and voice.

Ruth's sister mentions news coverage of release of crew of USS Pueblo; greetings from Howard's father.
