Description
Heidi seems the proverbial "all-American girl" from small-town Pulaski, Tennessee. But she was born Mai Thi Hiep in Danang, Vietnam, the daughter of an American serviceman and a Vietnamese woman. At the war's end, her mother, hearing rumors that racially mixed children would be persecuted, placed the 7-year-old girl on an "Operation Babylift" plane to the United States. Twenty-two years later mother and daughter are miraculously reunited in Danang. But what seems like the cue for a happy ending is anything but as Heidi and her Vietnamese relatives are caught in a heart-wrenching clash of cultures.

Description
Return With Honor tells the compelling story of American fighter pilots shot down over North Vietnam and their dramatic transformation from self-confident "Top Gun" type aviators to prisoners-of-war. Weaving powerful interviews with the airmen and their wives with never before seen footage from Vietnam's government archives, the film provides a profoundly moving account of how these men survived repeated bouts of excruciating torture, long periods of solitary confinement and harrowing loneliness. In chronicling their detemination to return home with honor and dignity, the film is a testament to their sacrifice, resilience and courage.

Description
They were drafted--or volunteered--as teenagers. At an age when they should have been studying for final exams, their character and courage was tested in the fires of war. THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: HELICOPTER WARFARE IN VIETNAM is an extraordinarily intimate account of the controversial conflict, told through the words and eyes of the men who were there. Rare super 8mm film footage and still photographs shot by the soldiers themselves shows the war you have never seen, going even closer to the heart of the action--and the emotional center of the conflict--than the gruesome news footage that has shaped the image most of us have of the conflict. Through these personal documents and testimonials, we'll see how boys became men, and examine the lasting impact of the war on their lives.

Description
Vietnam, 1969> Hill 937. 10 days. 70% casualties. Those are the facts- this is the story. The men of Bravo Company are facing a battle that's all up hill..up Hamburger Hill. Fourteen war-weary soldiers are battling for a mud-covered mound of earth so named because it chews up soldiers like chopped meat. They are fighting for their country, their fellow soldiers and their lives. War is hell, but this is worse. HAMBURGER HILL tells it the way it was, the way it really was. It's a raw, gritty and totally unrelenting dramatic depiction of one of the fiercest battles of America's bloodiest war. Dodge gunfire. Get caught behind enemy lines. Go into battle beside the brave young men who fought and died. Feel their desperations and futility. This happened. HAMBURGER HILL- war at its worst, men at their best.

Description
Former Secretary of Defense, under President Kennedy and President Johnson, Robert S. McNamara was one of the most controversial and influential political figures of the 20th century. Now - for the first time ever - he sits down one on one with award-winning director Errol Morris (The Thin Blue Line) to offer a candid and intimate journey through some of the most seminal events in contemporary American history. As leader of the world's most powerful military force during this nation's most volatile period in recent years, McNamara offers new and often surprising insights into the bombing of Tokyo, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the effects of the Vietnam War. Featuring newly released Oval Office recorded conversations with President John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson, "The Fog of War" received critical acclaim for its up-close and personal insider perspective. See the film that Rober Ebert hailed as "a masterpiece!"

Description
Nominated for an Academy Award and widely considered one of the most important films ever made, "The War at Home" vividly chronicles the anti-war protest movement of the 1960s and 70s. The film provides an illuminating look at the home front of the Vietnam War - the war that students and other anti-war dissidents waged on America's political system, military and notions of patriotism. Through a powerful combination of rare archival footage and interviews with students, community leaders, Vietnam veterans, and participants from all points of view, "The War at Home" shows how the anti-war movement grew into a genuine people's revolt in tandem with the escalation of war in Vietnam.

Description
Path to War tells the inside story of how "the best and the brightest" advisors in the Johnson administration, including Defense Secretary Robert McNamara and special advisor Clark Clifford, counsel the President in the decisions that will lead to America's deeper and deeper engagement in Vietnam. Torn between those who recommend increased bombing to win, and those who advise a path be found to peace, Johnson watches as his presidency and his nation are also torn apart by the deaths of young Americans overseas and the protest of those who remain.

Description
The 1960s come to life in this gripping film. "Berkeley in the Sixties" captures the decade's events - the birth of the Free Speech Movement, civil rights marches, anti-Vietnam War protests, the counter-culture, the women's movement, and the rise of the Black Panthers - in all the immediacy and passion. Dramatic archival footage interwoven with present-day interviews and 18 songs from the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez, The Band and the Jefferson Airplane make "Berkeley in the Sixties": probably the best documentary on the Sixities to date!

Description
In the early months of 1969, six men met on a swift boat on the Mekong Delta during some of the worst fighting of the Vietnam War. Five of the men were crewmates - Tommy, Mike, Gene, David, Del - and they came from across America, from Boston to Northern California, from South Carolina to Iowa. Their commander happened to be a young Yale graduate named John Kerry. The six men endured the horrors of Vietnam together. They would remain friends for the next 35 years. Brothers in Arms tells the story of their unique relationship. The documentary focuses on their experiences in Vietnam, but it also recounts what happened to them after the war and delves into the way each man has dealt with the experience of fighting in, as David puts it, "A war I discovered we didn't intend to win." Interviews, photographs and archival footage of the war are woven together to create a powerful and emotional film.

Description
Noam Chomsky's voice may be controversial, but his incisive arguments, based on decades of research and analysis, deserve to be heard and considered. Power and Terror presents the latest in Chomsky's thinking, through interviews and public talks given in the spring of 2002. Chomsky places the terrorist attacks of 9/11 in the context of American foreign intervention throughout the postwar decades - in Vietnam, Central America, the Middle East, and elsewhere. Beginning with the fundamental principle that the exercise of violence against civilian populations is terror, Chomsky - in stark and uncompromising terms - challenges the U.S. to apply to its own actions the moral standards it demands of others.

Description
In the mid 1960s thousands of you American men left their families, homes and jobs and went to fight for their country in Southeast Asia. Many of them never returned. Others were shot down and captured behind enemy lines. They were forced to suffer years of brutal treatment at the hands of the Communist captors. Their horrifying days of darkness, starvation and torture were made worse by the actions of a young American Officer named John Kerry. As these American heroes suffered, John Kerry sat comfortably in the glow of television lights to tell a Senate Committee that these men were 'war criminals.' The story of these valiant POWs is compelling and powerful. Stolen Honor is their story. It is the story the media won't tell you. It's the story John Kerry doesn't want to hear.

Description
Did Henry Kissinger sabotage the 1968 Vietnam peace talks for his own political gain? Did he orchestrate the secret bombing of Cambodia without approval from the U.S. Congress? Did he authorize covert operations-involving kidnapping and assassination to overthrow a Chilean President? In a new climate of international justice, The Trials of Henry Kissinger investigates these and other charges. Featuring previously unseen footage, declassified documents, and revealing interviews with Kissinger supporters (Alexander Haig, Brent Scowcroft, and William Safire) as well as his detractors (Seymour Hersh, William Shawcross, and Christopher Hitchens), The Trials of Henry Kissinger explores how a young boy who fled Nazi Germany grew up to become one of the most powerful and controversial figures in U.S. history.

Description
Manic comedian Robin Williams shakes up 1965 Saigon in the Academy Award nominated role the critics agree he was born to play - irreverent, non-conformist deejay Adrian Crnauer. Imported by the Army for an early a.m. radio show, Cronauer blasts the formerly staid, sanitized airwaves with a constant barrage of rapid-fire humor and the hottest hists from back home. The G.I.s love him, but the brass is up in arms! Riddled with side-splitting comic bombshells and studded with hot 60's hits, the film depicts Cronauer's raucous Saigon adventures amid a world gone mad.

In the most provocative film of the year, Academy Award winner Michael Moore (2002, best Documentary, "Bowling for Columbine") presents a searing examination of the role played by money and oil in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11. Description
The Archives of War is a fascinating six-program collection of wartime images ranging from the trenches of World War I, through the unparalleled destruction of World War II, to the Cold War's atomic arsenals. Most of this material, shot on 35mm film by British Pathe News, has never been seen by U.S. audiences. Thus it offers a fresh visual treatment of the major conflicts in the 20th century.
Program 5: Korea tells the story of the Cold War's first "hot" conflict - from the invasion of South Korea by the North Korean Army on June 25, 1950, to the armistice that was signed three years later. It also includes material from the war's aftermath such as political protests in South Korea, the positioning of tactical atomic weapons on the Korean peninsula, and the resignation of South Korea's president. Other highlights include the Inch on landing, General MacArthur's resignation, air warfare, the retreat of U.S. forces from Chosin reservoir, POW exchanges, and the infamous Koje prison camp riots.
Program 6: Vietnam illustrates several phases of a conflict that lasted many years - from the French struggle against communist Viet Minh in the 1950's to the start of the Paris peace negotiations in 1968. France's war in Vietnam is well documented: air attacks, commando raids, land battles, and the fall of Dien Bien Phu. This program also covers early U.S. support of South Vietnam, the buildup of U.S. forces during the 1960's, bombing raids, riverine operations, naval air attacks and worldwide protests against the war, from Saigon to Stockholm.

Description
Helicopters fill the skies, panic fills the streets. It is 1975. After years of brutal fighting, Saigon will fall in days. For Americans and their Vietnamese allies, the emotions of a lifetime are compressed into a few shattering hours. There will be courage and dignity…guilt and shame. Twenty years later, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and former President Ford offer a new perspective on the U.S. role in the chaotic evacuation. South Vietnamese citizens loyal to the United States tell their stories of chaos and duplicity that led to the collapse of Saigon. Relive this fateful time with rare news footage and eyewitness accounts from both sides of the conflict

Marlon Brando stars in this volatile political thriller based on the critically acclaimed best-selling book. As a compassionate American ambassador to the strife-torn Southeast Asian nation of Sarkhan, Brando tries to keep the Communists in the north from overrunning the weakened democracy in the south by making sure a vital road into the country's inaccessible interior goes through. But, from his very arrival, "The Ugly American" is met with suspicion and hate even by an influential freedom fighter now suspected of being a Communist agent. Intrigue and danger surround Brando and co-stars Pat Hingle, Arthur Hill and Sandra Church, in this tense story of Cold War politics that remains all too real today.

Flatliners starring Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon. (The following film summary is from the case of the VHS tape). Kiefer Sutherland is a student who persuades classmates Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon to take part in a reckless experiment. To see if there is life after death, they will kill themselves: temporarily shut down ("flatline") their heart and brain functions to briefly experience clinical death. After Sutherland survives the first experiment, the others flatline for increasingly longer intervals. But their horror begins when they realize that although they've come back alive... they haven't come back alone.

Description
Voices From the Wall is a special DVD presentation for veterans and their families everywhere. It has been considered to be a message of healing. This production came together after my visit to the Vietnam Memorial in 1999. As a producer, and Vietnam Veteran, I decided to record comments from those visiting the wall. Upon my return to L.A. I listened to the voices over and over again and decided to edit them together. It was a week later that I received a photo of myself taken at the "Wall." The wheels in my mind began to turn, enter vocalists Hillard Street. During a visit to my studio he listened to the audio interviews and wrote "Voices from the Wall." I dedicate this production to those who lost their lives and souls. It is my way of giving closure to my Vietnam experience.

Three companies of the regiment's 3d Battalion are seen moving to establish fire support base Cunningham where a 155mm howitzer is fired. A company is seen attacking the site for fire support base Erskine. Tiger Mountain is finally captured. Elements of the 3d Reconnaissance Battalion move through the operational area, and the fresh 2d Battalion, 3d Marines arrive at Erskine. This film contains excellent footage of Marine Corps fighters in support of Operation Dewey Canyon. Footage of F-4 Phantoms and A-4 Sky Hawks in action. Description
Produced by Michael and Julia Phillips and directed by maverick filmmaker Martin Scorsese, 1976's Taxi Driver ushered in a new era of graphic moviemaking as social criticism. Paul Schrader's gritty screenplay depicts the ever-deepening alienation of Vietnam veteran Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro in a tour-de-force performance), a psychotic cab driver who obsessively cruises the mean streets of Manhattan. Powered by Bernard Herrmann's lush, chillding score, and featuring a stellar supporting cast including Jode Foster, Harvey Keitel, Peter Boyle, Albert Brooks and Cybill Shepherd, Taxi Driver is a seamless and provocative portrayal of the nightmarish disintegration of a wounded American psyche. Description
What lessons has America learned from Watergate? Thirty years after the nation's most infamous break-in helped pull down President Richard Nixon, all the facts are still not in. Bust as this compelling documentary shows. Watergate remains a nearly unbelievable tale of ordinary men corrupted by power-and their desire to retain it. Interviews with investigator Sam Dash, co-conspirator John Dean, and journalist Bob Woodward recreate the history and speculate on the effects.

Description
It was a time when a generation rebelled and lost its innocence. From the Vietnam War to the struggle for racial equality to the birth of a counter-culture explosion, the 1960s was a decade of change, experimentation and hope that transformed an entire nation. THE SIXTIES: THE YEARS THAT SHAPED A GENERATION traces the events of one of the most turbulent and influential periods of political and cultural change in the 20th century and the powerful impact forced on an entire generation. This two-hour documentary features revealing interviews with the prominent figures of the era, including Barbara Ehrenreich, Daniel Ellsberg, Jesse Jackson, Tom Hayden, Arlo Guthrie, Henry Kissinger, Norman Mailer, Robert McNamara, Ed Meese III, and Bobby Seale. There is no disagreement even today over the failures and accomplishments that were born from the 1960s, but one thing is certain - there has never been a time quite like it.

Description
This Academy Award winner reveals the contentious origins of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and tells the inspiring story of its creator, a 21-year old Yale architecture student. Beating out some of the most prestigious architecture firms from around the world, Lin's plan was selected from over 1,000 different designs, a giant victory for such a young and unknown artist. But little did Maya lin know that her battle was just beginning. In Washington to defend her design, Lin came up against a mighty opposition, challenging indignant veterans and a hostile Congress to ultimately prevail with her emotional "Wall." And what began as one of the country's most bitterly disputed public monuments became one of the world's most inspirational and frequently visited memorials. In this riveting and dramatic portrait, renowned filmmaker Freida Lee Mock combines interviews and archival footage to chronicle Lin's story-from its origins, dominated by her David vs Goliath battle over the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to a career designing other memorials, always with an innate talent, and resolute courage.

Description
Based on the book They Marched Into Sunlight by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Maraniss, Two Days in October tells the story of two turbulent days in October 1967 when history turned a corner. In Vietnam, a U.S. battalion unwittingly marched into a Viet Cong trap. Sixty-one young men were killed and as many wounded. The ambush prompted some in power to wonder whether the war might be unwinnable. Half a world away, concerned students at the University of Wisconsin protested the presence of Dow Chemical recruiters on campus. When Madison police showed up, the demonstration spiraled out of control, marking the first time that a student protest had turned violent. Told entirely by the people who took part in the harrowing events of those two days -- American soldiers, police officers, relatives of men killed in battle, protesting students, university administrators and Viet Cong fighters -- the film offers a window onto a moment that divided a nation and a war that continues to haunt us.

Description
A compilation of 1960's films about what to do in case of a Nuclear attack and the effects of radiation, also footage of troop tests of the exposure to an atomic bomb. Atomic Cafe is a review of the atomic age and the beliefs held by Americans at the time. Many things such as Burt the Turtle who was the figurehead the "Duck and Cover" campaign are featured. Along with these film clips are portions of Army training films and demonstration films concerning atomic testing. All of these clips are combined to show how little the experts knew about atomics at the time. And even more to the heart, the point is to show the extent propaganda was used to mollify the fears of the American public, and her soldiers.

Description
Portrait of the artist as a young man. In spring, 1965, Bob Dylan, 23, a pixyish troubador, spends three weeks in England. Pennebaker's camera follows him from airport to hall, from hotel room to public house, from conversation to concert. Joan Baez and Donovan, among others, are on hand. It's the period when Dylan is shifting from acoustic to electric, a transition that not all fans, including Baez, applaud. From the opening sequence of Dylan holding up words to the soundtrack's "Subterranean Homesick Blues," Dylan is playful and enigmatic.

Description
In the 1960s and 1970s, the polarization of the political situation of the USA was becoming acute with the Vietnam War abroad and civil rights at home being but the most obvious issues. For the youth political movement, the seemingly ineffectual methods of peaceful protest and resistance led to the rise of an idealistic faction that want a more extreme approach that the Establishment could not ignore. This faction, called the Weather Underground, attempted to team up with the Black Panthers to violently confront the US government that started with street riots and escalating to bombing government targets. Thorough archival footage and interviews of the veterans of both sides of this conflict, this film covers the resistance movement's campaign of selective violence through this period until changing times and disillusionment brought it to an end while the FBI used unethical and illegal methods to hasten it.

Description
Academy Award-winner Burt Lancaster delivers the finest performance of his illustrious career as a hardboiled major in command of a grubby Vietnam outpost in this classic film of wartime confrontation. The war was still a "conflict" and American soldiers were merely "advisors," yet the ambushes, the betrayals and the brutality were all very real. Wile the riveting action concentrates on a single, obscure incident, this excellent, understated and sharply intelligent film illuminates the vast landscape of an era.

Description
Week one is over. The students of Class 234 are battered, bruised and exhausted and those are the lucky ones. Still under unrelenting physical and emotional strain, they must learn to overcome worn down minds and bodies and pay attention to detail. See how the failures of two team leaders cost their crews serious punishment, and see how poor teamwork results in one student's injury. Those not meeting expectations are put before a review board to determine if they should be dismissed. As Hell Week approaches, students are beginning to realize why Phase One is known as Two Weeks and a Long Day.

Description
With Hell Week over, students begin Phase Two of BUDS training, the "Dive Phase." This course teaches the skills they need to become combat divers, but the challenges awaiting themare more mental than physical. After classroom training, it's into the pool with 72 lbs. of SCUBA equipment. This is usually what makes or breaks a student, and even the toughest, most dedicated student may not have what it takes to succeed underwater. Those who make it will have to face the final training exercise, a simulated combat dive that demands levels of precision they have never faced. In BUDS, The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday.

His personality was as big as Texas. His politics changed America and the world. Here is the definitive film biography of Lyndon Baines Johnson, one of the most perplexing and fascinating figures ever to reach the Oval Office. LBJ presents the full sweep of his amazing life: an impoverished childhood in central Texas, the assassination of President Kennedy, the War on Poverty and the war in Vietnam, the Great Society program and riots in the innter cities, and his withdrawal from politics, disillusioned and defeated.

Description
PATRIOT ACT is a feature-length "home video" that captures a rare and intimate look into the early days of the American occupation of Iraq through the eyes of stand-up comedian, Jeffrey Ross. Armed with nothing but some jokes and a camcorder, "The Roastmaster General" shoots his own life-changing experience entertaining battle weary G.I.s stationed in some of the most dangerous and remote parts of the Sunni Triangle. Inspired by the passing of USO perennial Bob Hope, Ross travels to Iraq along with six other comics (Kathy Kinney, Blake Clark, Kyle Dunnigan, Andres Fernandez and Rocky LaPorte) led by sitcom star and former Marine Drew Carey. Along the way, this "Iraq Pack" carries out a secret itinerary from base to base and meets thousands of American G.I.s. In light of all the bad news coming out of Iraq this film offers a rare pat on the back to the men and women of the military who are braving their immense challenges with spirit and a sense of humor.

Description
Ralph and Scott are best friends, a couple of ordinary kids worried about girls, college and fitting in. The tumult of the '60s is something they read about, not something they live…until Scott's brother comes home from Vietnam in a pine box.
Three of today's hottest stars - Robert Downey, Jr. (True Believer, Chances Are); Kiefer Sutherland (The Lost Boys, Young Guns); and Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Great Balls of Fire) - join screen veterans Bruce Dern and Mariette Hartley for 1969, a joyful and heartbreaking story that captures the music, the anger and the innocence of an unforgettable era. If you were there, or wish you had been, 1969 is the movie you've been waiting for. [Information taken from synopsis on movie box.]

Description
Five young marines leap out of a helicopter and into the unknown. They all joined the marines for different reasons, but they find themselves in the same place--bound together in a desperate struggle for suvival--lost in a jungle minefield on a suicide mission. Now every tree hides a sniper, and every burned-out building beckons to an early grave. They thought the streets back home were tough, but it's nothing compared to where they are now. As every minute of their mission passes, the few become fewer, and the mightiest might fall.

Description
Betty Ford was many things: first lady, breast cancer survivor, feminist, substance abuser, and prone to controversy, but one thing she was not was a phony. She and her husband Gerald Ford were real people in the White House at a time when our notions of the presidency were shaken by Richard Nixon and Watergate. Their accidental presidency turned out to be just what the nation needed and Betty Ford encouraged ordinary people to talk about things that had been unspoken.

Description
He was a common man - a failed farmer, shopkeeper and county politician - who became one of America's greatest presidents. A leader of men and a man whose decisions would change the world: Harry S. Truman. It was an era of tremendous unrest and a tough time to be President. Truman led a nation through the end of World War II, the beginning of the Cold War, the struggle for civil rights, and the creation of the United Nations. But whatever decisions he shared with the world, one decision had to be his alone. The buck stopped with Truman when America dropped the first Atomic bomb, ending the war with Japan. Through it all, Harry Truman lived true to his aim "to serve the people - not to control them." This is his remarkable story.

Description
From Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard comes the electrifying, untold story behind one of the most unforgettable moments in history. When disgraced President Richard Nixon agreed to an interview with jet-setting television personality, David Frost, he thought he'd found the key to saving his tarnished legacy. But, with a name to make and a reputation to overcome, Frost became one of Nixon's most formidable adversaries and engaged the leader in a charged battle of wits that changed the face of politics forever. Featuring brilliant portrayals by Frank Langella and Michael Sheen, Frost/Nixon is the fascinating and suspenseful story of truth, accountability, secrets and lies.

Path To War Tells the inside story of how "the best and the brightest" advisors in the Johnson administration, including Defense Secretary Robert McNamara and special advisor Clark Clifford, counsel to the President in the decisions that will lead to America's deeper and deeper engagement in Vietnam. Torn between those who recommend increased bombing to win, and those who advise a path to be found to peace, Johnson watches as his presidency and his nation are also torn apart by the deaths of young Americans overseas and the protests of those who remain.

From the decisive battle at Dien Bien Phu to the final U.S. helicopter lifting off from a besieged Siagon, Battlefield Vietnam delivers a comprehensive, unflinching look at America's most controversial war. October 20, 1965. After infiltrating the South through neighboring Cambodia, North Vietnamese regiments attack an American Special Forces camp at Plei Mei. Soon they hear the ominous "whup whup whup" of the helicopter gunships from the U.S. First Air Cavalry Division. Beaten back by intense machine-gun and rocket fire, the attackers retreat...with the Air Cavalry in hot pursuit. The Air Cavalry's crucial mission was to keep the Northern troops from regrouping and cutting South Vietnam in half -- by trapping and then annihilating the enemy with overwhelming firepower. Follow the world's first helicopter-based military formation into action at the battle of the Ia Drang Valley. See how the results of the fierce confrontation changed the fighting tactics of the North. Then go deep into the Viet Cong's largest underground stronghold -- an amazing network of tunnels just twenty miles from the South's capital city -- to learn how guerrillas prepared to combat an increasingly determined American military.

Description
Prepare for a stunning, no holds barred journey into the darkest chapter of the Vietnam War. A special U.S. combat unit trained in underground warfare is sent on a mission to hunt and kill Viet Cong resistance forces in the endless networks of tunnels in the jungles of Cu Chi. Armed with only handguns, flashlights and knives, the men soon find themselves embroiled in hand-to-hand combat. The Vietnamese that inhabit the tunnels are faced with an equally overwhelming task. By resorting to primitive but ingenious methods of combat, they prove to be surprisingly effective against the Americans' superior technology. As the battle moves underground, for both sides, the struggle becomes less about winning than about survival.

Description
From hidden tunnels deep in the jungle, the Viet Cong launched operations that were terrifying in their ingenuity, savagery, and persistence. The ten-day battle for the place which would eventually become known as Hamburger Hill was perhaps one of the defining moments of the Vietnam War. Piecing together newly disclosed stories from both sides, DECLASSIFIED examines how American commanders made the mistake of fighting this battle with similar tactics they had used during WWII, and how the Viet Cong was able to hold off American troops without having anywhere near the manpower or artillery of the U.S. Army.

Description
Rebellion, riots, rock 'n roll, assassination, interrogation, and a new generation questioning the Establishment. It was 1968, and 'baby boomers' fought the system that nurtured them, challenging everything from foreign policy to music to personal style. Less materialistic and more idealistic, they didn't want their parents' world--they wanted to create their own. In Young Blood, see how youth rebellion became a potent social and political force. Footage and interviews from then and now reveal how America learned that ordinary people have the power and the right to challenge authority and change the world.
