Sheon Montgomery joined The Vietnam Center and Archive in October 2009 as an Archival Specialist assisting with the digitization of records for the Virtual Vietnam Archive. Sheon received her Master of Science in Information with a specialization in Archives and Records Management from the University of Michigan's School of Information. While at UM she was active in the Society of American Archivists student chapter, a Research Assistant for the Research Library Group project, "Digital Preservation Needs and Requirements in RLG Member Institutions" and participated in a summer internship at the Diné College Museum and Archive with the Navajo Nation. Following graduation she worked as a Book and Paper Conservation Assistant at UM's Bentley Historical Library and with the James Craven Conservation Consortium, and as a Project Archivist for the Ann Arbor Water Treatment Plant. Sheon is a member of the Society of Southwest Archivists and is a Ranch Host board member for the National Ranching Heritage Center at Texas Tech.
