Scope & Content:

  • Four books written in Vietnamese by Nguyen Y Duc discuss topics in health and nutrition.

Biographical Note:

  • Dr. Nguyen Y Duc received a M.D. Degree from Saigon Medical University in Saigon in 1963 with a specialization in Family and Geriatric medicine. After immigrating to the United States, Dr. Nguyen became re-licensed to practice medicine in 1977. Dr. Nguyen was a staff physician for the Louisiana Department of Public Health from 1977 to 2001.Since 2003, he has served as a consultant to Boat People SOS Inc., which is an organization providing health issue and occupational safety awareness to immigrant communities. He is also Vice President of Financial Resource Development for the Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation.
