Scope and Content

The Resistance section of the Douglas Pike Collection consists of materials on Vietnamese resistance to the Hanoi government after the conclusion of the Vietnam War in 1975. Organized chronologically by year, the materials include newspaper and journal articles, press releases, and speeches. There are also political statements and position papers by various resistance organizations such as The Free Viet Nam Front, The National United Front for the Liberation of Vietnam, the National Support Movement for the Resistance in Vietnam, and the Vietnam National Salvation Committee. Most of the material is in English, but a considerable amount is in French. The Resistance section makes up approximately one-half linear foot and is in good condition.
