Scope and Content

DVD contains footage of the Veterans History Project at Northwestern Michigan College's oral history interview with Captain Neil Hansen of Air America in 2007.

Biographical Note

Neil Hansen was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1936. He entered the United States Air force in 1955 and was discharged 1963. After his discharged, he entered service in Air America in 1964 and participated in the service until the termination of the program in 1975. While in Air America, Hansen conducted missions in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. He held the position of Captain and Assistant Manger of Flying Vietnam during his eleven year career. After the dissolution of Air America, he continued his flying career in civilian aviation.
