  • Photocopy from the 'Washington Post' of a poem by LRRP/Ranger Vietnam Veteran Lewis W. Bruchey and a letter from Timothy H. Joeckel to Donnie R. Hachey, the Chief Counsel for Operations of the Board of Veterans Appeals.

Biographical Note:

  • Timothy H. Joeckel was born September 4th 1949 in Los Angeles California. He was drafted in 1969 to the US Army where he served in H Company, 75th infantry, Ranger Airborne for two years, and one year in Phuoc Vihn, Southeast Asia. While stationed in Phuoc Vihn, Southeast Asia, Joeckel served as a Medic, rear Scout, Assistant Team Leader, and Team Leader. Joeckel was honorably discharged as a Specialist 4th Class (E-4) in 1971.
