Photocopy from the 'Washington Post' of a poem by LRRP/Ranger Vietnam Veteran Lewis W. Bruchey and a letter from Timothy H. Joeckel to Donnie R. Hachey, the Chief Counsel for Operations of the Board of Veterans Appeals.

Biographical Note

Timothy H. Joeckel was born September 4th 1949 in Los Angeles California. He was drafted in 1969 to the US Army where he served in H Company, 75th infantry, Ranger Airborne for two years, and one year in Phuoc Vihn, Southeast Asia. While stationed in Phuoc Vihn, Southeast Asia, Joeckel served as a Medic, rear Scout, Assistant Team Leader, and Team Leader. Joeckel was honorably discharged as a Specialist 4th Class (E-4) in 1971.
