HQMC: An official Radio release Platoon TR-196 Khe Sanh Leader 1:16 TR- 197 L a hole w/charlie 2:56 TR-198 Two "VC" This audio contains three interviews with soldiers. Two had close calls with the Viet Cong. Corporal Tom Brantley interviewed Lt. Daniel McGravy who summarized the attitude of the marines at the Northern combat base at Khe Sanh that of marines feeling base is heavily fortified and ready for attack. Corporal Brantley also interviewed Marine Private First Class Charles Lopez of Delta company 1st Battalion 26th Marines describes his close call with 5 North Vietnamese soldiers near Khe Sanh while point on a combat patrol. Marine Lieutenant Bob Carpenter interviews Major Patrick Saxton and Private First Class Daryl Norter and his encounter with the Viet Cong, Norter encountered these VC while retrieving a pistol.
