Refugee supplies furnished by the government of Vietnam is unloaded in Nha Trang as in all areas hard hit by the Viet Cong during the TET offensive as the populace celebrated the Lunar New Year. The traditionally festive season for the Vietnamese people has now forever been marred by the attacks that left thousands dead and hundreds of thousands homeless. The government of Vietnam immediately established centers for the refugees in government and public buildings and furnished emergency supplies, even as the battles raged nearby.
