Mr. Khanh Le was born in Saigon, Vietnam on July 11, 1943. He graduated with a BA degree in 1962 and from the Law School of Saigon University in 1966. He then earned a MA in Economics and Finance at the National Institute of Administration in 1970 and also graduated from the Thu Duc Military Academy in 1971. He was assigned to serve in Can Tho as Director and Inspector of the IV Corp Office, Inspectorate Department of Vietnam from 1970 to April 1975. Mr. Khanh left Vietnam on April 30, 1975 and sought asylum in the United States as a political refugee. After arriving in the US, Khanh worked at the Rancho San Diego as an instructor from 1977 to 1979 and worked for the US Postal Service from 1979 to 1980. Following this, Mr. Khanh became an independent business man and owned several furniture businesses in Los Angeles and Orange County from 1980 to 1996. Mr. Khanh then moved to Lubbock, Texas, and was employed as the Vietnamese Language Instructor and Special Assistant to the Director of the Vietnam Center at Texas Tech University. In 2006, Mr. Khanh became an Adjunct Professor in Vietnamese Language and Associate Director for Vietnamese Affairs at the Vietnam Center.
